I'm trying to work on my dissertation but am not getting the childcare support I was promised. My mom has said she could help financially if I could find someplace for Anne to go play one day a week to let me work--but all the PDOs I can find are for at least 12 months and walking, and Anne turns 10 months old on 2/7. Other than walking, she's pretty much doing everything a 12 month-old does! And since she's standing on her own, I figure she'll definitely be walking by the time she's 1--it's just that I need the help now so I can get more research done. Any suggestions? Many thanks!

There's one in Mission next to the Public Library off Antioch and SMP. Not sure if they have space, but they did when I called a while back for my little guy. He wasn't 1 yet at the time (he's 15 mo now).
I LOVE Country Club Christian Church PDO on Ward Parkway! They take babies in a nice infant room. A friend of mine is using that for her 6-month old. I used to have my son one day a week at a home day care but this is much better and actually cheaper (I was paying $40 for 5 hours and this was about $34 for 6 hours; the price drops as they get older, too). I switched my son to there right after he turned one and he's two now and adores going. I'm hoping to be able to afford two days a week next year so I can get some work done, too!
I live in Shawnee and I am a mother of two grown daughters and I also have two grandchildren, joys of my life. I would be happy to help out, but I would prefer coming to your home as my husband works nights and sleeps during the day. I would spend good quality time with your little one and I am sure she would be more comfortable in her own environment.
