Need Help Phrasing an Email Request for Support

I have a daughter serving with the US Peace Corps, who is building a school for her community in conjunction with an education foundation.

I would like to forward an email she wrote which details the news and how to support it financially to my friends and family. And many of my friends and family are expecting the email to arrive anytime now.

My problem, is that I am just not a natural asker (aka sales person) and feel awkward about soliciting. Even though it's for a wonderful cause.

My question..how would you phrase such a forward?

Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

Great gals, thanks, that is so clear....her email does include a link to the foundation and Paypal already.

Hello everyone!
Many have asked how Amanda is doing in xyz working on abc.
She is well, happy and enjoying this time of service and knows she is making a very real difference in the lives of many.
Here is the link to her current newsletter detailing the project. There is some fascinating information to see. (Insert link)
If you would care to offer financial support, the link can be found in the newsletter.
If you would like to support her emotionally, her email address is xyz and I'm sure she'd love to hear from some familiar "voices"! (insert email address)
Thanks for keeping Amanda in your thoughts and prayers,

I'm not very good a composing these types of emails either but if it's a non-profit organization, they could possibly take a tax deduction for the donation...you could mention that.

On a side note, I am always glad to donate when friends/family ask. I don't support any particular charity on a regular basis (besides church) so if a friend or family member has their heart in something and asks for a donation, I'll support their cause. I suspect you will find the same.

Make a little note at the top, then copy HER email. Your note could say something with an introduction, who you are, who she is, briefly paraphrase what the goal is, then include 'Any help is greatly appreciated; if you feel like you can't contribute now, you can always help out through (and give a website or some other way people can help at a later date if they want to think on it)' Let them know that any amount helps tremendously and you're extremely grateful for any participation, and that you'll keep them posted on the outcome.

After your daughters email, end with a 'thanks again, your help is greatly appreciated; your generosity helps make this happen!'

Good luck :)
