We ordered our washer & dryer in person at a Sears store and had an unsatisfactory experience. I had heard such positive things about Sears' products, so I wasn't expecting what we went through. We provided the measurements and were shown which items we could order given the small space we were dealing with. When the delivery men arrived, they looked at the space and said there was no way the W&D would fit and they weren't going to even bother unloading them from the truck. We went back to the Sears store and talked with the sales guy who said that was ridiculous and the W&D we selected should fit. We had to act as the middlemen between the store and the delivery people, calling back and forth until I said "enough!" and had the store manager talk to the delivery people directly.
Long story short, the W&D did fit, but the delivery people didn't bring the right hose, even though the sales guy had specified a certain hose. It was going to be another week before we could get the hose, so my husband drove to the store, picked up a hose and installed it himself. It was a big hassle.
