Have you tried Renew lotion from Melaleuca? It worked wonders for me when nothing else did. I use it on my son too.
I have had Psoriasis (an immune-system skin disorder that causes scaly patches on the skin) since I was a teenager and noticed that it went away during my two pregnancies. Now, it has come back worse than ever and is all over my upper arms, elbows, back, lower legs, and scalp. It itches and looks horrible! The last time I asked my doctor for something to make it better, she gave me some steriod cream. It worked great, but she told me to quit using it three months before trying to conceive, so I know it can't be good for my baby since I am exclusively breastfeeding. Does anyone know of any moisturizers or herbal creams that could help me? I have gone in the sun a bit since I know this is supposed to help, but my skin is so fair, I burn right away.

S., we have a great herbal lotion that is botanically based and safe for children as it's formulated for them. It's with Arbonne International and is called ABC baby line. Currently our lotion has been discontinued for a new formula they are coming out with soon. However, we still have the baby oil, wash and sunscreen available. If you would like to try a sample give me a buzz!
Hi S.,
I don't know if this will work, but you might want to try organic, virgin coconut oil. I know of one person (a friend) who had success using coconut oil on her psoriasis. One person is not exactly a scientific study, but it definitely wouldn't harm your body or your baby to try it.
If you decide to try it, use only a small amount - like a tablespoon for your entire body. If you put on too much, your skin won't be able to absorb it. If you put on a very thin layer, your skin will absorb it almost immediately and it won't be greasy. Try to apply it as often as you can throughout the day.
Also, get a high grade coconut oil - if it tastes like fresh coconut, then it's the kind you want. If it has no taste (ie. completely bland), it's NOT the kind you want.
Good luck and congrats on your LO - M.
My hubby uses pure Aloe gel for his. He loves it and prefers it over any lotion or cream I've ever brought home. The prescription stuff never works for him.
Hi S., I have a oil that has worked well for a lot of other women with the same condition. Please let me know if you'd like to try some to see if it might work.
