It would seem that since you believed the reflux to be gone it probably is gone. If your child has reflux at 7 months you will know about it as the screaming and the constant throwing up would be a good indication. If your child has just a bit of reflux then you can control the situation without the need for meds. If you child is sitting up on his own then take this opportunity to give him some regular foods. By the time he is 12 months he should not need any jarred food. Even if he had no teeth, which is not going to be the case if he is now teething, he would be able to mush just about anything. Try giving him mashed banana, peas, cooked carrots, deli meat, bread, cheerios, puffs, peaches, green beans, mashed potatoes, real oatmeal, flaky white fish, these are just a few. This will really help your child become a well rounded healthy eater. If your son does have reflux then this step is essential to start early because reflux children have a very hard time with textures and if not treated properly have to see a therapist to learn to eat properly. I know this is a lot to take in but most likely your son is teething and needs some relief so why not introduce some healthy options. Your son will take in the formula that he needs, sometimes they just go through growing spurts and times of reduced calorie intake.
