Need Gift Ideas for School Counselor

After a major move, my son was having a hard time and started seeing the school counselor. She was such a tremendous help and really helped him get over that hump during the transition period. I would like to give her something as a token of our appreciation. I don't really want to do a gift card but want to try and think of something thoughtful. Any ideas??? I don't know her very well so I'm not sure what she likes or is into.

What can I do next?

I'm making these for school helper/teacher gifts this year. Figured you can never have enough hand sanitizer at school! :) You can customize the words you choose. (I can send you the template I've got if you'd like, just pm me.) I ordered transparency paper on Amazon for under $13 and it'll last for many years worth of these gifts! Will tie with a pretty ribbon and perhaps a card made by my kiddos.

I think a handwritten note about how she has really made a difference in your child's like, and then a restaurant gift card, which would be the gift of TIME. School personnel work so hard and long hours.... I think that is the best....probably not more "stuff." That is my thought. You sound very thoughtful, which is just wonderful!

I'd go ahead and geet a gas gift card or grocery gift card--everyone eats & drives, right? Well, pretty much everyone!

Or have him take a small poinsettia in to her about a week before the break?

And, of course, a handwritten note of thanks telling her she made a very real difference for your son!

How is her office decorated? Could you get something that would go with her style?

Or, ask her if she has something on a wish list that could also benefit other kids? A game of some sort, a book?

Baked goods, as long as you know she doesn't have any dietary restrictions.

A gift card to a book store? Ask your kiddo if he has seen her drink coffee, maybe a coffee house card?

A geniune letter from you thanking her for all that she has done. :)

Best of luck to you!
