Mr. Clean magic eraser works wonders.
I have tried cleaning my gas stove with different cleaners but nothing seems to get rid of the residue left from the gas being burnt. Any advice?

Wiping up as you cook and making sure you clean between each use. Ugh I hate burnt on oils, but I cook so frequent much that I have quite a bit. Do not over scrub or dulls the finish and make cleaning worse. Do I do this, not usually I cook way to much. Hubby will just have live with a somewhate messy stove. Beside he will not let my go black, his bad.
It really depends on the stove. I have sealed burners so a Mr Clean pad does the trick. The only part it doesn't work on are the black caps but they are black so no one other than I can tell.
Melaleuca has products that are used for this purpose and are non toxic. If you go to their website you can look at the products they have and they have a money back guarantee.
I hate cleaning my black gas stove! it is so disgusting! Every so often I take the drip pans out and soak them in soapy water then use a scrubber sponge. In between I wipe them daily after cooking when I can, use Clorox wipes and would try the Bon Ami, Magic Eraser, or even baking soda and a scrubber sponge. Something with a bit of grit that will not scratch.
I just got a new gas top, and am reading the cleaning directions now. It says to use a plastic mesh pad with hot soapy water. If it is the main top part of the cooker, it says you can use Bon Ami, Kleen King Stainless Steel Cleaner, Cameo Aluminum and Stainless Steel Cleaner. I'd try a small area first with any of these before I would proceed. Hope it works.
