Me too!! My daughter turned three in April and has no interest at all in big girl panties or going to the potty. She politely says, "no thank you" when I suggest she go to the bathroom. I am sorry you are having trouble with this, but be assured you are not alone! lol

I just kept my daughter home for about five days. And made sure she was drinking plenty liquids. And about every 30-45 min. asked if she had to go.It annoyed her more than anything, but it got her in the habit. And by the end of the five days I didn't have to ask.

A., This is Krissy, Stacie's niece. I had the same problem with Davey. I made him some certificates on the computer, they had different pictures of transportation vehicles and were called Davey's potty awards, and every time he would use the bathroom I would give him one and he would put them on the fridge. When Rusty came home I would make a big deal out of telling davey to show daddy how many potty awards he had gotten that day. Rusty would make a huge deal out of it and pay him 50 cents for each one. If he had an accident I would tell him to go bring me an award off the fridge. He had just started saving his money to go see Thomas in Helena in the Spring so it was a big deal to get money and put it in his bank. Then when he was getting alot of money in the evenings we started giving him one when he went all by his self. Also we never put pullups on during the day, he only wore them at night. Then when he stopped having accidents during the day. We started giving him and award for every night that he didnt have an accident. And at the end of the week we would count them and give him 1.00 for each. He earned alot of money and he was completely potty trained within three weeks. He hasnt had and accident in 3 months now.

Dear A.,

I found my daughter to be quite easy to train. It was over the thanksgiving holiday, so maybe 4 days total. I let her go naked, all the time. Since she was used to having on a diaper, she wasn't sure what to do. When I noticed this puzzled look, I took her to the bathroom and explained it. After a few times, she just starting going herself. It was a short time after that, I was able to stop putting pull ups on her at night. She is now seven and has had 2 accidents in 4 years. I hope you have the same luck as I did, unless this was just a fluke.

I am by no means the potty training queen. This same situation happened to me also. My daughter is now 7 but, when she was that age I tried everything. I tried giving her a suprise (little things) out of a bag we had, if she used the potty, I put all kinds of little party grafetti in the toilet to try to get her to go, I even tried taking her so many times a day. Finally what worked for me was I took a portable little potty and set it in front of the TV while she watched her TV shows and she started using it and I took vacation at this time to do this. When she did use it, I would make the biggest deal out of it and jump up and down and yell YEA!!! Then its like a light bulb came on to her. Also I put real panties on her instead of pull-ups and she didn't like the way it felt when she pottied in her panties. I would wait just a few minutes and not change her in a big rush so that she would have to experience that feeling she hated so much. It finally worked but I hope maybe some of this will help. Good luck.

We just got Potty Power on DVD and our son really likes it. One of the main characters is a princess in it- and she ends up choosing to use her potty chair to be a big kid. The jester in it is mildly creepy but nothing you can't joke off.

We set up a reward chart in traintrack form.. for every time we took him and he was still dry and eliminated in the potty- we colored in a track. We added up the cost of each pullup or dipe saved and so each track was worth $.30- eventually earning a new toy- his case the diecast Thomas train toys... but if there are little dolls or something she likes or wants- this would relate well... have like a little path to the doll and fill in stepping stones.
Then... to discourage more misses.. we made the same track and put a magnet on the back of a train sticker and covered it with clear packing tape... so the train moves foorward when we pee or poo in the potty and moves backward one space if there is a miss.
We also instituted another "fast track"... so each space was worth a $1 and if he took himself to the potty- or told us he had to go, or pulling us to the bathroom and pulling down his pants, being an active participant and went... we would move this train down... He can readily see that if he becomes more involved in going, he is able to get at the "reward" faster. We did not or do not move this one backwards though.
YMMV

Make sure everyone is on the same page. One week laying the law down with my in-laws when we went to visit turned my son potty trained in one week, after months of failing. When the parents or in-laws follow a strict routine together(take her to the toilet as soon as she wakes, underwear right away, asking every 20 minutes or so if she has to go)works well when all involved parents/in-laws/family members are doing the same thing. Get into repetition with your daughter, and stay there. A potty that I found that worked was the "musical potty", it plays music everytime they go, makes it a fun time for them, I know walmart had them...since we got our son that toilet, he hasn't had to may accidents. Good Luck!
