I'm an oil slick girl all summer - used to coach soccer and long to move up north with the birds! I use a mattifying powder under and over my liquid foundation. It is made by Arbonne International. It is a botanically based translucent pressed compact. It is the ONLY thing that isn't cakey to where by the end of the day you look like you've layered on the makeup 5 times. Retails for $25, but you can get it for $20 with a wholesale membership. (no obligation to sell, no hassles or minimums) HGTV makeup artists use this powder to keep those hunky carpenters from glowing too much!
The other products that have helped me are the Oily/Combination Cleanser (with toner in it) and the SPF 20 Day Cream with Matte Fresh Complex in it. This set of two has lasted me since the beginning of February, and I'm just now 2/3 of the way through it. Arbonne's products always last longer than most others because they are concentrated - no fillers or junk. Keep that in mind in cost comparison.
Something else- OTC foundation may be the issue since it is 90% mineral oil (baby oil), or the lovely alternative of animal derivatives so they can say it is "oil free." Even in 'mineral' formulations they can be hidden. Not sure what I mean, look up "horse rendering" on a google search - yucky. Some people do better in the summer with the mineral foundations - I personally like the more consistent coverage of a liquid, but Arbonne has both and the mattifying powder works with both.
