Need a Pediatrician for First Time Mom in the Keller Texas Area

I would like a pediatrician who will be flexible on the shot schedule and willing to look at all options for treatment before prescribing medication. I want to keep my baby heathy but don't want to over medicate when there are other alternatives. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

We use Dr. Brandon Atkinson over in Keller. The office isn't very large, and I don't think I have ever seen it been crazy busy. LOVE the nurses as well. We really like him. He actually talks to us. Will tell us why fevers aren't the end of the world and such. When we decided to not vax our YDD, our last pedi "fired" us, since he was with Cook's and we had to find a new one. Dr. Atkinson, is totally fine with our not giving any to our youngest and no more to our eldest.
Plus, he doesn't prescribe antibiotics for every little sniffle. He is totally cool with the fact that ODD (who will be 5 in May) is still nursing.

I use Dr. Selzer with Kid Care Pediatrics. There are numerous doctors in the group. You could call and ask if they would do that.

I recommend Dr. Zwernemann at Southlake Family Medicine, same as MamaR. From firsthand experience, she is flexible on immunizations and does not push medication. She didn't blink at my baby being born at home, and she's also comfortable with long-term breastfeeding.

Southlake Family Medicine has some great pedis (we see Dr. Z) but I don't know if they're flexible vax friendly since we fully vax. I would try www.dfwareamoms.com - lots of 'crunchy' mommas on that site and I'm sure someone could direct you to a dr in the area.
