Ann @ smart looks on N Beach @ Basswood is fantastic. She gives advice about what will and won't work for you and is very reasonable in price. I found her by asking someone who's haircut I loved. She is fabulous w/ color, too. My mom lives in Ohio, but Ann does her hair whenever she comes down because she is so good. She's been at the pricey places, but is friends w/ the owner here. It is next to CVS, an oil change place and a dry cleaner. ###-###-#### Good luck!

I go to Lisa Murphree at the Venetian Salon in Keller. It is just off Hwy 377 and Bear Creak. She's great and charges about $75 for a cut/color/style. I've been going to her for about 3 years!

I have a great hairstilist who works in the south Arlington area by little road. A little far I know but so worth the trip. Excellent at coloring, treating, cutting and styling. She is the only person who cuts hair for me, my husband or our kids. Her name is Patricia Hauser and she works at Heflin's Hairport off little road and I-20.

I have been a hairdresser most of my adult life and the Rave off N Beach and Western Center in Ft Worth is great. Laura does mine but Marla is great too. I have never seen a bad cut come out of that salon. G. W

I have been using the Alabaster Box in Roanoke for a while and love love love the results! I see Susan, but my husband has seen Kevin and Chris, we are both always pleased. The color is awesome and the cut is great too. My hair always looks great until my next visit. Good luck

Drive just a bit north, and you can find The Alabaster Box in Roanoke. It is a funky salon inside an old bank, which is over 100 years old. The building still has the original ornate ceiling, and the original money vault, which they now use to store all of the haircare products. Susan cut my hair, and she was a doll...a guy named Kevin cut my cousin's hair, and, well, her hair looks fabulous. It's on the main street of Roanoke (Oak), which is just off 377, right across from the original Babe's Chicken House and a yummy bakery. I'm a bit of a history buff, and the town seems to be working at historical preservation. So you get cute hair and a little small town "character" too.

Misha Tanberg is at Esoterica Salon in Fort Worth. It is close to downtown, but is well worth the drive! I live in your area and would drive to Waco for her. She is a true artist and is the best I have ever found. She is also not unreasonable. I think a cut and style is around $45.

She is very reasonable....liek $50 for a cut and color. I thought it was too good to be true also, but it's real! She does great color.
I use to have long hair and her cuts were good, but I just cut my hair short (the Victoria Beckham cut- real short in the back and longer in front...the style she had before she cut it all super short) anyway, she does short hair good too.
ALl of my friends go to her now. ONe more great thing, she is super fast...I am in and out of there with a cut and color in 1 hour and 15 minutes. It's amazing!

Good morning B., I feel your pain. We moved here 2 1/2 years ago and I have gone through some pretty crazy cuts and colors. I have even made several trips back to my old stylist to get my hair back in control. I have found a person that I am happy with, but she is located SW Ft Worth in the citiview area. Her name is Niki and she owns the Green Banana. Her shop is in a building where there are several stylist that lease they're own room. I know this would be a drive, I found she is worth it. Also she may know someone closer to your area. Good luck, if you find someone let me know. I know how important good hair is. I go every 3 weeks (for color) Also I would like to know what type of hair you have.
