Hey Moms - I'm looking for a good dermatologist - I work in Addison and live south of LBJ (close to I-35)- I'm 43 years old and haven't been to the dermatologist since I was in my 20's!! - I just want to get checked out and maybe see if he/she can help me with my really oily skin that still breaks out (at 43!!)
any recommendations would be very appreciated!!

It would be a drive but worth it - Dr. A. Bowers in Southlake Town Square. She's awesome!
Allison Singer is great and her partner is Lori Stetler - also great. Their office is near the corner of Preston and Northwest Highway - so very near your home. I see Dr. Singer and I highly recommend her. Their staff is very nice and helpful which is a plus.

I don't have a dermatologist, but highly recommend Marie at Monte-Marie Skin Care just across the Tollway from the Galleria. She gives the most amazing facials that last about 90 minutes, and the cost is about $85. When I treat myself monthly, I can definitely tell a difference in my skin. She will tell you what products she is using for your skin type, but there is no pressure to purchase anything. Good luck! -J. C.
Hello A., I would recommend seeing my esthetician before going to a dermatologist. I've been going to D.D. for over 7 years and have found that it's helped me with my break outs. You can find out more about her at https://ddsskincare.com. Good Luck in your search! M.
Dr. Howard Rubin is at LBJ and Hillcrest, pretty close to you. He has been on "D Magazine"'s list of best doctors in Dallas a few times. ###-###-####
Alan Menter,
Max Adler
or anyone in their offices
some of the best in Dallas
A. - I see Dr. Sklar, he has multiple locations. He found melanoma on me. I'm only 30! He also has given me lotion for cracked heals and for slight acne.
He is always on time and unlike other dermatologist I've been to, he doesn't try to sell you a bunch of non prescription lotions. I had a dermatologist in Plano who was trying to sell me moisturizers. He is very professional.
Dr. Allen Menter. Located downtown Dallas area at Baylor. He used to be in the far North Dallas area but he is still very worth the drive and time to see him. I also love his PA's as well.
I've seen him for several years and I took my 14 yr old daughter to him as a proactive approach to ward off facial blemishes and she is perfect. We just follow up every 6-9 months!
He is SO good and well known that sometimes it is hard to get an appointment. Worth it though!!

I also go to Howard Rubin and he is great.
If you're willing to drive to Greenville Ave near Presby Hospital, there's a great dermatologist over there! Dr. Alkek is in the building at the corner of Pheonix/Greenville on the first floor. My aunt is one of the receptionists. Look him up and see if he's right for you. Good luck on your search!
Dr. Lucy Li of Frisco Dermatology has an office in Coppell and Frisco. She's great!
