Hi C.,
How old is your son? Was wondering if these were bumps from razor on back of neck. Let me know, I may have product to recommend.

Depending on his age, ethnicity, and allergy history, those neck bumps can represent a number of things. You need to take him to a dermatologist so they can look at it. His lymph nodes can be swollen, or it could be fungal, so hydrocortizones won't work. They need to look at it and possibly do a small skin biopsy to determine what's going on. It can go on for years if it's diagnosed improperly. So make sure if the 1st doctor's is not working that you go somewhere else. I had a similar problem with my daughter and they were misdiagnosing it as "melasma", then "fungus", and it actually turned out to be eczema, but her hair fell out in the back while I was trying all these creams....
C., my 4 yr old son recently was suffering from bumps on his neck, unfortunately for us they spread to his stomach and chest and he was diagnosed with a virus called "pitoryisis", a virus whos symptoms start as bumps on the neck...its slighty contagious and has to run its course.I've never heard of it before and believe my son may have gotten exposed to it at his daycare, but i cant be sure of that. You might wanna check into it, it took several weeks to clear up.
