I wish that I could help but I will try. I am in my fourth month and I'm still throwing up.
I couldn't get out of bed and nothing seemed to work. These are the things that I managed to keep in my tummy.
Coke slurpees helped sometimes.
I lived off of Jello, Edys popsicles; try the lemon and the lime. Also, a bite of a brownie.
I couldn't eat too much at all. I could not drink water as that would trigger a vomiting attack.
I would fight to keep my prenatals in my stomach but up they would come.
Right now, I'm taking kids vegi vitamins and I can keep them in my stomach. My perinatologist told me to put my prenatals on the shelf as it is important to put on weight. I have lost over ten pounds.
Not sure if she has a little one to take care of but that tends to add to the stress. My son is very active and he has been by my side through it all but he has taken advantage of me knowing that I can't discipline him or take him to his classes like we were doing.
It's important that she get lots of rest. There really isn't much that she can do. Crackers only made it worse for me. Light foods. I literally lived off of Jello and popsicles for two months but at least it was something. Also, I tried the vinegar and salt potatoe chips.
I called a friend of mine who was hospitalized during her pregnancy. She had to be put on an IV; I thought that I was heading in this direction but the jello and pops saved me.
Soda can aggravate the stomach; that's why the coke slurpee helped as it wasn't as harsh. I normally don't drink soda but I had to calm my stomach as I would dry heave with nothing in my stomach and bile would come up.
It was awful. I got sick over this past weekend and I was in tears as I was hoping to feel better; actually it is as it's not every day and not all day.
I do hope that she feels better; every one is different and every pregnancy is different.
I got very sick with my son but I could function; this is 100 times more intense.
G-D Bless
