Just wanted to check in with other mommies of infants on how much they sleep. My little 3 month old sleeps about 18 hours a day. He is a champ sleeper! When he is up he is all giggles and grins, super alert and engaged in everything around him, even my OB commented on how active he is and how much he moves when she saw him awake. He can stay up about 1.5-2 hours at a time and then it's back to bed!! He sleeps through the night great from about 8-7 and then takes three to four naps. Usually has 6 good hours of alert play time. How does that stack up with some of you other moms of 3 months olds. My first was different so I am just curious. Thanks!
That sounds about right. My four are older so it's hard to remember but that is good that he is sleeping through the night so young. My 4th started sleeping through the night at 2 months. I now have a two week old and I'm wondering how he will sleep. =) So far, I'm exhausted...LOL

I am also a first time mom. When my daughter was that age she slept about the same amount of time. She is 5 months now and sleeps 12 hours at night and then takes about 1.5-2hr naps durning the day. I think it pretty normal for them to sleep that much. I know that when she has her growth spurts she sleeps more and eats more, but from what I understand that is normal too. Hope fthis helps. : )
My daughter (now 2) slept 10-11 hours total at that age. You are crazy lucky!!

My son didn't sleep until 9 months... seriously! Even naps were less than 45 min TOPS. Count your blessings!
Your son is right on track. Mine was sleeping about 12 hours a night at 3 months and would nap every 1 to 2 hours. That is what they need! Congratulations!
All of us are made different and his is like my son's was. It make's life easy on you and he is happy and healthy. Everyone requires a different amount of sleep to go on, his will change as he gets older right now feel lucky you can get sleep, and keep the house done at the same time. Plus he seems to like the ways things are for him.
