Much Needed Feedback...

I've asked a few times about schools in the area but now I'm actually here in GA house hunting and have found two homes I really like. One goes to Harmony Elementary, Ellsworth Preserve subdivision and one goes to Fort Daniel Elementary, Daniel Park Subdivision. Can any mamas out there tell me about your personal experience in these schools or if you live in these subdivisions, tell me about the neighborhood??
Tomorrow I'm looking at the Vanderbuilt subdivision in Sugar Hill...school is Level Creek. Any feedback on this one? Thanks for all your help with this. I know I've asked for feedback for the past several months.

What can I do next?

I don't know anything about these schools but I wanted to give you a link to a website where you can see the schools testing scores and if they have any feedback from parents.

i know this won't help much but i used to teach in Gwinnett county for 6 years before i had my son who is now 4 and i know people who teach at all three of those schools and i think you would be happy with your children at any of them. they are all really great schools and you cannot really go wrong with the area either.

My son is only three, however I still feel I can contribute. My son's godfather is a teacher-turned assistant principal with Gwinnett County Public school system. He lives near Harmony however he chooses to send his daughter to Level Creek. He and his wife are really happy with Level Creek. Now, he didn't just skip Harmony. He started her at Level Creek due to convenience based on where he was working. However, I'd like to note that Level Creek is now very inconvenient in terms of logistics (sp?) but he and his wife chose to keep her there.

But from what I'm hearing from other moms, teachers, and that website, greatschools.com, you'll be happywith all of those you named.

Good luck!!

My son goes to Level Creek and we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. He is finishing the first grade and had a wonderful teacher, Martha Manotas. The school really involves the parents and their gifted program is great.

I agree with Amy. Check greatschools.net. We just moved here in Sept and I spent many hours on that website beforehand. All of the elem schools in the Suwanee area scored above state average. However, you may not find a lot of info about Level Creek as it is only about 4 yrs old.

I also don't have a child in those schools, but I have a very good friend who had two children in Fort Daniel and LOVED it. They were an Army family who moved every few years and she said this one was the best one either of her children had attended.

I also have children in Gwinnett County schools...you are moving a good area, Gwinnett County schools are typically pretty good. We are looking to move and I will definately stay in Gwinnett for the schools. Good luck with whatever you choose!
