Hi! I am moving to Naperville from CA soon. I would love info on a good neighborhood and also any names of a great pediatrician would be so helpful! We would love a neighborhood with a not so strict HOA as the one we have now is pretty bad. Thank you so much!!

What can I do next?

Naperville is a huge city. You may want to narrow down your home search by what else is going on in your life. Will someone in your family be commuting on the train to Downtown Chicago? Then you might want to stay on the north side of town, or even w/in walking distance of the station as parking is challenging. Is there a particular church/school you wish to attend? The public schools are all quite good, but there are many, and with some differences. Do you want to be able to walk to the downtown area with all the shops/restaurants/library? Do you want a neighborhood with a pool? I don't think you will find many HOAs to be very restrictive. We live in Cress Creek, and I think that the biggest HOA rule is that if your home is adjacent to the golf course you can't have a fenced in yard. Aside from that there aren't many rules at all. We use Wheaton Pediatrics in Wheaton and have been very happy. We love living here -- welcome!

We go to Millennium Pediatrics. Love the Docs! They are at 95Th and Naper/PLainfield Road. ###-###-####. Good Luck

We live just east of downtown Naperville (south of Chicago) and we love the neighborhood and the schools (HIghlands Elem and Kennedy Jr High). We don't have a homeowner's association. Many subdivisions do have homeowner's associations. My daughters best friend (and one of my good friends, too) lives in Huntington Estates. I have not heard any complaints about the HOA. Their association has a pool/tennis club - as do many associations.

For the pediatrician, we also go to DuPage Medical Group, but on Raymond. I have been very happy with them. However, we moved here when my daughter was 8, so I can't comment on how they are for infants/toddlers.

Good luck and welcome to Naperville!

It will really depend on yor price range which neighborhood you live in. I live in the Maplebrook subdivision where homes ave around 300k. It is considered an "established" neighborhood meaning older with more trees :) the things I love about the neighborhood: Elementary and jr high are in walking distance, we have a community pool and a generally friendly andclose knitcommunity.Typically the neighborhoods north and south of downtown on the more eastern side are like this. As you head west and further south the homes are newer but the trees etc are not mature. Naperville is divided into two school districts 203 and 204. Both are good but there tends to be less boundary movement in 203. 203 also relies less heavily on funding from the state which has meant less cuts in recent years.

My children go to the pediatric group at DuPage Medical Group. We usually go to the one at RollingRidge Rd in Naperville (near Rte 59 and 113th), but there are many locations. We have seen all four of the doctors (Amin, Lo, McCall, Wigder) and love them all. We currently see Dr. Amin for my infant daughter and 6 y.o. son. but often see the others if she isn't available. They are all great with kids, especially Dr. McCall. You can click on their names for more info on each of them. They are affiliated with Edward Hospital (excellent healthcare system in the area) as well as Central DuPage in nearby Winfield. http://www.dupagemedicalgroup.com/pediatrics/dupage_medic...

I don't live in Naperville, so can't give info on the neighborhoods, but I can recommend our realtor who is in Naperville...Nancy Boehm of Prudential Elite. She is so great...super sweet and VERY professional. She will work, work, work until you find what you want. http://prudentialelite.com/nancy_boehm

My parents and I have both used Nancy as a realtor and she has actually become a good friend. She's super detailed and helps even if you are very selective. Welcome to Illinois!

I have heard great things about Drs. Ozgen & Czepiel in particular.
