I'm not in a same sex relationship but my two closest friends are! They are wonderful moms to four beautiful girls and my kids and their kids are all close friends. I can understand your urge to find some common ground with other same sex parents....it can be difficult at time even in today's day and age and I understand the need for support. I may not be exactly like you but I do support your relationship and the facts that if you love and parent your kids properly, it doesn't matter what sex you are or what relationship style you are in. Love is love and that's the facts. I adore my two friends and I know they love me and my children too. We support each other well. I'm also wise to the extra struggles they go through that I do not have to deal with. It is a shame but the greatest gift that I can give them is my total acceptance and unconditional support. I would give the same to you as well. Kudos for being who you are, sharing your love with another woman, and then giving that love to your children. I hope you get a lot of mama's here to talk to......including me!
