Mom Seeking Good and Affortable Adult Orthodontics

I am in need of braces badly. I had them as a child but my pediatric ortho never pulled 4 teeth that should have been. I went back in 2006 before I got pregnant and got a quote of $5580 from Farina Orthodontics. I know I have pretty bad crowding and will need the four teeth pulled. I would love to get them soon. Do you know of any good orthodontists with reasonable prices? Is this a good price I was quoted? I also need an affordable dentist who can pull the four teeth.

Thanks so much.

I recently got braces. I was able to save money by buying dental insurance through my credit union. Although I'm not sure you have to be a credit union member to buy Comp Benefits. Take a look at the Comp Benefits website.

I am using Dr. Emma Rushing in Carrollwood. I have been really happy with my experience so far.

I used Dr. Christina Martin a few years ago as an adult and loved her! Very reasonable and aggressive with treatment. I only had my braces on a year. She guarantees her work too. I needed an adjustment done to my retainer and she fixed it no charge. Here is her web page with her contact info. I know she has another office in New tampa now as well. http://www.christinamartindds.com/

I got braces on my top teeth 4 years ago, and I went to Dr. James Hodge (he sees patients in Brandon, Carrollwood and South Tampa). I went to a few orthos and his price was so reasonable (I didn’t have insurance) and he did a great job. (I too went to Farina and he told me that I needed to have both top and bottom teeth in braces, and if they were to get really perfect, I needed to have my jaw realigned). If I were looking for perfection, then I guess I wouldn’t mind my jaw being broken (uh huh, right?!) but I was only concerned with the overlapping of a couple of top front teeth. This is the phone number for the Brandon office – they can assist you for all offices ###-###-####.

Good luck!

That sounds high to me. I would call Dr. Howells office, the Tooth Caboose in Plant City. They set up a payment plan for you so you pay a small amount each month.
