N.G.
After I had my second child I asked my OB how many c-sections a woman could have safely. He told me that he had just done one woman's 8th c-section, that it just depends on the woman, her body, scar tissue, etc.
I had 3 c sections already with all my children , but want another one and curious of how a 4 c-section is .. Complicated? Too dangerous?

I am in the same boat as you. I have 3 kids, and I am pregnant with my 4th. All 3 of mine have been c-sections. I just got back from my first OB appt for this pregnancy and the doctor told me that the risk does go up a bit with each one, but not significantly enough for me to worry. He told me that the most he has done on 1 woman is 6, but other docs in their practice have done even more.
I am fortunate to heal well, and to have minimal scar tissue (at least when I had my 3rd they told me my uterus looked great), so I am not worrying about it.
The doctor I saw at my 6 wk postpartum visit after my 1st child was born, on the other hand, told me I should only plan on having 2 babies, but she was fresh out of residency. Doctors who have been practicing for a long time tend to have a better feeling for what their patients' bodies can tolerate.
That question is really best answered by your OB. It depends on a lot of different factors and your overall health and OB history. Many doctors don't recommend going over 3, but some are fine with 4. I would talk to your ob about your concerns and see what he/she has to say about your own personal situation. I wish you the best.
Were your c-sections uneventful? Were they planned or emergency? Most Ob's will go with 4 but not usually more than 4 because of the risk of the rupture inside. I would go for it if your healthy and your doctor says its ok. :)
What does the doc who has taken care of your THREE C's?
I would rely on my Dr's advice and how healthy you are going into the pregnancy. Have your other c's been scheduled or ER?
Personally, I would not risk my life to go further if I already had 3. My priority would be to be as healthy as possible so I would hopefully live to see my 3 grow up and have families.
If you are set on 4 and can handle 4 financially responsibly.. how about adoption?
Of course, if you are healthy and this is something you and your husband desire, then go for it with your Dr. blessing.
Best wishes.
