My period didn't come this month. Last month I had it at the beginning of July and it was very light at first. I didn't start taking my new pack of birth control pills because of it. My breasts are sore too. I have my yearly appt this month so I tried an EPT test at home today. I thought sure it was going to be positive but wasn't. Usually if I stop taking pills my period starts in 2-3 days. I have never gone without getting my period before(unless I was pregnant) Could it just not be showing up yet? Im wondering if I should start taking the pills on Sunday like I was doing or what to do?

What can I do next?

Do not start taking the pills on Sunday. You need absolute certainty that you are not pregnant before you resume taking them, or you could cause great injury to the developing baby (I say could because this is up for debate). Wait a few days and then test with your very first urine of the day, as that is when the concentration of HCG would be the highest. If it is still negative, and still no period, call your doctor for advice.

Have you considered that it may be the pill that caused it? The pill creates a hormonal fluctuation that isn't natural or works against how the body naturally works.

So your period this month was due at the beginning of August? It's August 10th now. I wouldn't start the new pack of pills. Wait a few more days and test again. If it still doesn't come, go see your doctor. A friend of mine couldn't get a positive test on the urine hpt, she always had to get a blood test to confirm she was pregnant.
