I like using family names for middle names. I plan on using my grandmother's maiden name for my son or daugther's middle name. Good luck. :)
Baby #3 is due in a few weeks. For some reason it has been so much harder this time picking out names. The gender is a surprise for us since we found out with the first two. Now were stuck on a middle name for a girl. As of right now the first name might be Courtney. Any suggestions?

I like the idea of honoring a family member. That's what we did with our first, and I'm planning to do it with our second. My little boy's name is Lucas Ryan (Ryan is after DH's cousin) and if baby #2 is a girl it will most likely be Caitlin Beth - Caitlin is a variation of my mom's name (Kathleen) and Beth is my MIL's name. BUT, my name is C. and my middle is Ann, so I like that one. ; ) I think Anne looks a little prettier though. Good luck! The name is definitely the hardest part!!
Is there a matriarch in your family you'd like to honor? A middle name is a nice way to do that. I gave Elizabeth as a middle to honor gramma on dads side and she couldn't be happier about it. This works particularly well with inlaws!
Otherwise, how about
Courtney Marie
Anne or Marie? Elizabeth?
......Cox?....nah...done to death! :-)
Congrats!
Nicole, Noelle, Marie, Raine, Rose?
Lynn, Ann, or Rae seem to go good with almost any name. Congrats!!
My middle name seems to go with lots of things....Lynne?
We choose first names and do middle names for family. (AKA we have 2 middle names). So HIS middle name is my mum's maiden and my grandfather-in-law's (the man who raised my H) first name. That way each child has their "own" name, and we get to honor family at the same time.
My daughter's name is Courtney and her middle name is Nicole. I also liked the middle name Morgan when I was pregnant, but we went with Nicole.

We didn't decide on a middle name until after DD was born. We had a shortlist of names, all of which I either especially liked or that were in honor of a family member. Once we had her we named her in honor of my hubby's mom... since she looks so much like her!
You might just want to wait until you meet your baby.
Good luck.
