Hi Mamas,
I've hit a milestone age that grants me the chance to have my first mammogram. Yikes! I live in Plano and am wondering where a good place to do is to have it done? I know Medical center of plano is an option but there may be places that are dedicated to doing these and so are more geared toward making you less nervous about the process and reading the results, etc.
Any suggestions about places to go and preparing for one would be appreciated!

Women's Diagnostic in same Medical Complex as Medical Center of Plano (not at hospital)is the best place to go. I went there for my first one and have referred many women there. They have all said the experience was a good one. I did have to wait a while but that was the worst part. Being in the medical field I tend to research things before going any where. I second Women's Diagnostic. I think it is called Solias or something like that now. Anyway, they have a good staff and will help you feel more at ease.
They are located next door to Medical Center Plano facing 15th St.

Definitely the Women's Diagnostic Center. My OBGYN recommended that for me. They know what they are doing and will cater to people like me who hadn't had one done and was very nervous about the whole procedure.
