Loosing Belly Fat???

Hi there everybody. I just finished looking into the other requests under these categories and even though they may have the information I need, I thought I'd ask once more and hopefully get some updated information.
I had my second child in March, and embarrassingly enough, I only lost as much as my son gained (8 lbs), mind you, I only gained 17 lbs all together. Now I'm struggling to not only loose the weight I gained before and during my second pregnancy, but also the belly flab left from my second pregnancy, which is a lot and it drives me absolutely insane, not to mention it makes me so depressed. I am thick all the way around, but I know I would be more content w/my body if I could just loose this X/L love handle ;-). I currently attend a gym at least 3x a wk and do a combo of cardio and weights. I admit I'm not consistent although for the most part I am good about sticking to it. If for whatever reason I don't make it to the gym, I make it a point to go for at least a mile and a half run outside. Anyway, I was also wondering...can anyone tell me what more I need to be doing (aside from eating properly, which is my absolute #1 problem and another issue in itself) and if I continue to workout the way I do, how long before I start seeing results?
Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to this one...

I think its important to remember that although it seems like youre working out consistently, to switch it up. Because once you do the same routine over and over-its no longer affective because your body gets used to it. So instead of the mile and a half, try 15 minutes of one cardio, and 15 minutes of another...different weight circuits...and if you wake up and are sore-youre doing some good! I like some of the butt and belly workouts on the womens health magazine website. Go there and go to the "workouts" section and you can see some good stuff. I just had a baby in July and right after I gave birth, I started wearing a belly wrap to keep the loose skin in. It worked great for me, because its only been about 6 wks and my bellys almost back to normal size. I do know that cardio is what burns fat...and the weight training just helps with tone-so maybe just up the cardio and try different variations. Good luck! I know how frustrating it can be..but you can do it! Just think of how good youll look and feel when it gets hard!

Belly fat is horrible! I have what feels like a ton from having three babies right in a row, (3 years, 2 years and 10 months). So I went to my Dr. and asked if there was anything to do, he had my vitamin B levels checked and they were low. Put me on some tablets to help me adjust and I have been loosing a pound a week and doing nothing. Once I get some energy back I plan to exercise, but for now cooking, cleaning, watching the tinys and going to school full time is knocking me out. Anyway if you are low on vitamin B, taking a B150 can help. B burns fats and such. My Dr. Also said to take the vitamin with a B food so I eat an Avacado when I take the vitamin. He said it would help with absorption. Good luck, I'm sure you'll make it.

ZUMBA! ZUMBA! ZUMBA!

This is my #1 recommendation for all moms out there who don't have a whole lot of time to exercise but want to get fabulous results in a short period of time. Taking this class and pairing it with appropriate food management skills will do wonders!

I had baby #3 nine months ago and am within 5 lbs of my pre-pregnancy weight. Even though I have lost almost all my pregnancy weight, I lost all the tone I had worked so hard on before getting pregnant and I felt like mush. My free time to exercise is even more limited than ever before so getting back to the gym is not so easy. I also had developed some love handles and didn't want them to stay with me permanently, so when I did get back to the gym, I started taking the Zumba class that my local YMCA offers and I was instantly hooked - this class is SO MUCH FUN! Take a look at www.zumba.com for more info on what it is all about. The benefit that I love most is that my entire body gets a workout without feeling like I am working at it, especially my abs and obliques (side abs). I love the results and they came so quickly. I feel toner and tighter, and I developed some good muscle definition all over.

The Zumba classes that I take are always packed. Women of all ages, all shapes and sizes, and all different levels of fitness join in for the fun filled hour to hour and 15 mins. If anyone has any questions or want to talk about this some more, I would be glad to communicate with y'all offline. Zumba popularity has been growing by leaps and bounds.

Hope this helps!
K.
