Hi. We live in Belmar and use Dr. Cahill. His practice is in Spring Lake. Excellent doctor!!!!! Other doctors have recommended him as well as parents. ###-###-#### Good Luck!
I had put in a request asking for help finding a great pediatrician. I received back about 5 responses (all helpful !), however, I am still confused as to how to choose one. I'm not comfortable calling and 'interviewing' a potential Dr. its just not my personality. I live in Wall Twp, which is in Monmouth County and would like a Dr. that does not administer those 'coctail' immunizations that I have heard about. So, one more time, any suggestions on a wonderful pediatrician ?
Thanks !

hi J.,
i have had a wonderful experience with STEPPING STONE PEDIATRICS (corner of 138 & allenwood road). Dr. Maria Micale is great. she has a tell it like it is personality, young, married with 3 children. her partner is Dr. Alex Liua (spelling?), he is the kindest man, also young with children. my son loves him & always asks to see dr. alex. i love them both, great on-call responses and w/ ANY new baby questions.
here is their number: ###-###-####. good luck w/ the new baby.

I would highly recommend Dr. Stephen Shroyer on Schoolhouse Rd in Wall ###-###-####. I know how you feel about the shots and he definitely does not push the cocktail and recommends alternating months. He is very knowledgeable about them and will not fight you if you choose to not do all of them but rather discuss the benefits and risks of your decisions. He also has a great bedside manner and is willing to answer all of your questions about anything. In terms of how to choose one, have you asked any of your friends who have babies or even your ob/gyn? I heard wonderful things about him from several friends who have children which is how I chose him. Good luck :)
What is a "cocktail" immunization??? never heard of them...I live in Toms River, a bit out of your way, but I love my doc. I dont do the interview thing either, I used the doc that my ob/gyn suggested (since we had recently moved) and it just worked out for me. I would go by recommendations of others, then try them and see how you like them, everyone likes different things about docs.. Good luck with the pregnancy!
We use Dr Sandeep at Brick Pediatric Group and I LOVE her. She is at the northern end of Brick on 70 and Burnt Tavern. There is ALWAYS someone available to help if needed and she is just very good with the children. She actually spends time with you too. I know there are a couple dr.'s there, but it is her practice I believe, and I have only seen her. She doesn't do the "coctail" shots and she does not carry any shots with thymerisol(probably spelled wrong) in them.
