Looking Fot VBA2C Midwife in Hampton Roads

After being lied to and bullied into 2 c-sections, I'm done with OBs. I'm looking for a midwife in the Hampton Roads area that will accept a VBA2C for home or birth center birth. I have a low transverse incision and had no complications in either pregnancy. DH and I are talking about TTC in about a year, but I want to start looking for a provider now.

What can I do next?

I had a friend that felt the same, then they got a hold of a book called Born In Zion, and then it was another whole world opened up to them. They had 3 c-sec. then 3 homebirths with the husband doing the catching and a few friends around to help.
The book has a manuel that goes along with it!

Hi A.,

The midwives at Depaul are AMAZING!! They delivered my last baby and it was great, they have a birthing center too. You can call and go for a tour just to see it and ask questions, etc. They can be reached at ###-###-####, or ###-###-####. For homebirths I HIGHLY recommend Terri Hewitt with Seven Cities Midwifery at www.sevencitiesmidwifery.com.

Good luck to you!
S.

The Midwifery Center at DePaul Hospital. I gave birth to both of my children (2/05, 5/07) there, naturally. You are seen by one of the midwives at every prenatal visit, and YOU are in charge completely. If you do not want a prenatal test, say no, sign and the waiver, and go on with life. The midwives are amazing, understanding people who understand childbirth is not a sickness, but an awesome experience to be enjoyed, not feared. As a safety back-up, the Center is in the hospital and you are seconds away from an OR if necessary. But, oh, the jacuzzi tub and queen bed - oh, yeah, it was an amazing time for me.
