Apparently there is a lack of moms groups in NKC. I've read several post on this site the last I think in October. Since Carabou Coffe recently opened up maybe we can get something going? Let me know what you guys think and what would be the best time to meet, and I'll try to organize something. If there's already a group started PLEASE give me the info as to how I can join. I am dying for friendship, my husband and I moved here more than 2 years ago from New Orleans and I have no friends here.
There are other moms groups listed on meetup.com but one is listed as closed to new members and the others are not in our area, many of them "say" Stay at home moms which I am not a full time stay a home mom and after I graduate I plan not to be a stay at home mom at all. The question now is do we want to start our own group or try to join established groups. Let me know because I'll go ahead and start a new one on meetup.com if we come to that general consensus.
Moved to NKC 2 years ago and my husband and I just had a baby 3 months ago. Would love to be apart of a great moms group in the Northland and meet new friends!

I moved her from Baton Rouge, La in 2005. My family is from here but I move away 15 years ago, so didn't keep in contact with alot of people. But I live out North and I also have a seven year old daughter. Maybe sometime after the holidays we can get together and have lunch or coffee and let the girls meet and start a friendship. seriously? we moved here about 7 years ago from new orleans :) Iced over isnt a good time to set something up, but i wouldnt mind a get together now and again also.
I live in NKC also. I have 2 daugheers age 20months and 4. Would love a play group or just meet other moms. Mondays are best for us oldest in preschool other days. I moved here from New Orleans last Oct. Welcome to the cold ;)
I just moved here 3 weeks ago and I, too, am looking for a moms group. I have a 2 1/2 year old dtr and live up north. I stay at home so anytime is good for me.
