Hi, I am looking for a gym with no commitement, do you know of any? i live on curry ford and dean (east Orlando).. any suggestion is appreciated.
I used to go to the LA fitness, but when I got pregnant, i was bleeding in the begining and my phsyician adviced not to excersice so I had to stop my memeber ship since they wanted me to pay $10/month just to keep my membership going on, and I do not like commitements...

What can I do next?

Hi N.,

The YMCA is a non-commitment membership, although a little on the pricey side, you can cancel at anytime. Plus, they offer great programs for kids; youth sports, swimming, some offer dance, etc. Members pay a smaller fee than non-members for these activities so that is a bonus.

I love, love, love the YMCA--there are tons in the area. The do have a joiner fee $50.00, which they are always running specials that waive the fee. There are no contracts and their facilities are wonderful. They have great classes, equipment and childcare. They are more money though than the contract places---I have a family membership --and that is good at all the central Florida YMCAs---and it's $84/month. But I wouldn't change it for anything. My friend did LA fitness for awhile and actually changed back to the YMCA even before her contract with LA was up because she just couldn't stand it!

The YMCA in avalon is a month to moth membership but I am not sure if you have to be a resident to qualify for that aspect of it.

I know you can live anywhere and go there..

I love their classes and they have a GREAT activity center for the children! You can leave them in there up to an hour and a half each day!
