We LOVE our MacLaren Volo. Love it, love it, love it! It was expensive (about $100), but well worth it. It's an umbrella stroller and we've used it tons more than the travel system. It weighs almost nothing and I can fold/unfold it while talking on my cell phone, balancing a toddler on one hip, and a diaper bag and purse hanging off my shoulder. It literally folds to a size not much bigger than an umbrella. It doesn't recline or have a canopy like the Combi, but we haven't noticed not having those things. You can buy a canopy attachment separately, but we never bothered. One neat thing is that when folded, there's a carrying strap. You just sling it over your shoulder like one of those fold-up camping chairs. As far as quality, our Volo has been all over the place and still functions and drives as good as new (it's 3 yrs old). It's been through shopping malls, walks to the park, road trips, airplane trips.
I believe Maclaren has some full-feature strollers too, but the Volo is the smallest and lightest weight. Oh, and my husband really appreciates the tall handles. My tall friends do too. When I've gone to the mall with one friend who is 5'9" (I'm 5'2") we switch kids/strollers so she can push the taller stroller.
Also, if you're looking for a full-feature stroller, the Peg Perego Aria is nice. We "test drove" it for a while in the store, but didn't think we wanted to pay $170 for a stroller. Since then, I have several friends with the Aria and it's also an awesome stroller. It reclines, has a good canopy, weighs nothing, and folds very small (no problem in the back of a Corrolla).
