Do you live near the Woodstock Aquatic Center?

Also, they offer lessons at Lifetime, I believe. It costs more for non-members but what a gym!

Hi J.,

My husband is the lesson director for the Woodstock Swim School. It is is downtown Woodstock off of Arnold Mill Road, right behind City Hall and the Police Station.
His name is Chad and the number is ###-###-####. Just ask for him and he can give you all the info.
The pool is covered in the winter and open in the summer. Lessons run all year round, so there are plenty of opportunities to get in.

Many subdivision pools will offer swim lessons, not just for their children. Also some individuals will teach them from their sub pools, I like this because it's not a big class, more direct help and mom type encouragement.
Also the YWCA and YMCA always teach lessons at their indoor pools, the one in West Cobb is very nice.

I WOULD NOT recommend Lifetime Fitness at all!

I took my 1 year old (now she's 20 months) there last summer and she ended up getting sick from something there at the pool...then they wouldn't let me have a refund for the week she missed nor would they allow me to make up the class. Not to mention that days 1 & 2 the regular instructor wasn't there...who taught was the director and one of the teeny bopper life-guards...they both were not good. Day 3 the regular instructor was there...didn't ask what we did, she just started with things from day 1...Day 4 my child came down with a high fever and we had to leave in the middle of class. Dr's orders were to stay out of the pool until she was better...which was the following week.

I tried everything to get money back, reschedule everything...the best they could offer was a 10% discount on signing up for another class ($150 for non-members) so it would still have cost me $135...SO NOT WORTH IT!
