I have a $60 sling from babiesrus that I am trying to get rid of. I only used it once... my little guy wasn't a fan of it. It's by Wendy Bellissimo.. it's light blue and camo
I am looking for a sling/baby carrier for my 2 week old.
I have tried the baby bjorn with my oldest and it just didnt work.
Thank you all...

I have three types of slings. You're right, a Bjorn isn't great for newborns. It works best once the baby has good head control. I found the best one for a newborn is a wrap. I have the Ultimate Baby Wrap. I was awesome for a new baby. It technically is still good for my older baby, but now I tend to use the hot sling type or the Bjorn for convenience. I'd be willing to sell you mine at a good price and teach you to use it if you want. It looks complicated until someone shows you the tricks, then it's super easy. PM me if interested.
I used (and LOVED) the maya wrap. It's comfortable for both of you! I can't remember the website, but just google maya wrap. You pick the fabric and size and they make it just for you! Good Luck on finding a good one, it makes all the difference!
There's also a store in Arlington called Carried Away Baby that carries different slings. I think the Moby wrap is the best for a newborn.
I used hotslings and loved it. So did my baby. Good luck.
I used the maya wrap and the hotsling. My baby liked them both.
Go to Peppermint (store in Richardson...they have a website)...they have all sorts of different ones that you can try and decide for yourself what you like. They are super helpful!
I liked my Nojo by Dr. Sears. It has an adjustable strap and was about $25 at Burlington.
I had a Hotsling for my first son, and I really liked it. Now I have a Moby and a Hotsling for my 9 week old and in general, I prefer my Moby. My baby is more comfortable and I'm more comfortable. I still carry the Hotsling for quick trips into stores. If I have the baby on me for an extended period of time, I only ever use the Moby. I bought my Moby on Amazon for $35. (By the way, it looks complicated to use, but after putting it on about 3 times, it is so simple.)
Good luck!
