Hello. I am going out tonight with a friend for dinner. Looking for a good idea in the Rochester/ Troy/ Royal Oak area.
Wanted to go to Kona Grill, but settled on Sumo Sushi in downtown Rochester. Not the greatest sushi.... bummer.
Kona Grill is my favorite! I love the food and the atmosphere is really cool. It's on the corner of Big Beaver & Livernois. Have Fun!
Some of my faves in Royal Oak are Cafe Habana (Cuban) and Lily's Seafood. Both are downtown.
In Troy, Maggianno's Little Italy (Big Beaver and Livernois), Kruse and Muer (Crooks, north of Big Beaver)7, and PF Chang's (at Somerset).

Mongolian Babreque on Main in royal oak
you have to go to kruse and muer on main street in downtown rochester! Also they have the light show going on downtown. It will be probably be busy but it's worth it!
Kona Grill or Ocean Prime, both in Troy. Ocean Prime is a little on the $$$ side, but is well worth it.
Any where in Rochester - late night shopping and the great light show but get there early or be prepared for a wait...

I didn't get to read my emails until today, so I know that I am irrelevant.. But :o) I still wanted to send you a note. I would have suggested Kona also and I'm sorry to have read that you weren't able to get there.
I had dinner there last night, actually. It's one of my favorite spots and I hope that you're able to get out again soon to enjoy it.
