Looking for Pre-school One Day a Week for 2 Year Old.

Hi moms! I was just starting to look into finding a preschool program for my daughter who turns 2 in April. I am a sahm, and there are not that many children her age in the neighborhood. I would like to find something 1-2 times a week so my daughter can have some interaction with other children her age. If anyone has any suggestions on anything in the Lockport, Homer Glen, Crest Hill area, I would greatly appreciate it.

What can I do next?

Hi A.,

I have heard that Bobbie Noonan School is a great preschool program. If I am remembering right, I think it is in the Homer Glen area. I used to have a client who sent their daughter there, and they had a lot of positive things to say about the program.

If there is nothing at the park districts near you, then try a few churches that offer Mothers' Day Out Programs. ParkView Christian Church on Wolf in Orland Park is one example of a good one for 2 yr olds.

Hi Angie,

You could try your school district to find out if they offer preschool. I have a two year old daughter who attends Elite Children's Academy 2x per week in Plainfield/Crest Hill and we think they are great. She's learned a lot, has friends, and the staff is excellent, but if that's not doable, I'd contact your school district. They may have their own program. Hope that helps. L. Argyilan

Try your park district. My park district just started a class for younger kids to prepare them for preschool.

Tiny Treasures is in New Lenox (Cedar Rd. and Francis) and they take little ones. It would give her a postivie interaction with others and it would give you a break to do something all by yourself (like shower, grocery shop, etc).
