New to Hawaii and looking for playgroups and other activities for a 20 month old in or near Ewa Beach. Does the local library have storytime, is there a waterbabies class nearby, or other structured playgroups, etc? Thanks again for any suggestions.

I found that most of the military bases have a Armed Services YMCA. There is a play group that meets at Wheeler Army Airfield Mon,Wed and Friday from 9am-11:30. Its completely free and has indoor and outdoor play with a clean environment. There is a book you can pick up at the Exchange called Hawaii Military Guide and it would have all the listings for the ASYMCA on each base.

Hi! Check with MWR for playgroups. I know that Wheeler Army Airfield has a playgroup that my friend loves - her little girl is 16 months. Also, check with Hickham - I heard they had an amazing "baby gym" with different color and shaped play mats - some wedges, some slides, some tunnels, etc...for little ones to play on - not sure if they have a structured playgroup there or not. Also, there is a Gymboree playsite at PearlRidge (by Circuit City) which is a little more expensive but they have tons of playgroups and activites from birth on...
Hope that helps a little.

Hey J.,
There is a playgroup at Iroquios Point Elemantary School. It is for ages 0-5. From 9am to 11am on Mon, Wed, and Fri. I take my 2 and a half year old son and he loves it. The building number is p8 if i'm not mistaking. The phone number to the school if you would like it is ###-###-#### for more info.
Enjoy and welcome to hawaii.
