I am looking for a pedatric physical therapist near/around Lakewood in Dallas. My 10 1/2 month old son is showing some signs of a developmental delay and I would like to have him evaluated ASAP. I would to love to have parent referrals/recommendations for a physical therapist. Any helpful hints regarding the assessment process would also be appreciated.
If you can possibly get your child in to Scottish Rite they are EXCELLENT! You have to either know someone, or have the referal of a mason. It can be a pain to get in but once you make it all their work is free and you can't find better doctors and therapists.
We also liked Beth Diner at Children's but it does get expensive quickly.
I would try Lakewood Pediatric Therapy and talk to Kathleen Morris. They do evals. It is located off Abrams in Lakewood.
I have a son with Down Syndrome and have OTR come to our home to help my son with his development skills. I know my son is probably different from yours but if you call her she may be able to help you or refer you to someone else. Her name is Lyla Chustz ###-###-####.

My 13 month-old daughter also has some developmental delays and we absolutely love our physical therapist! Her name is Lissa Mills and she is in Richardson,off 75 and Campbell. I also have a friend who is a physical therapist at Lakewood Pediatric Therapy (http://www.lakewoodpediatric.com/index_2.htm) and while my daughter has not worked with her, I'm a Speech Pathologist and have worked with her in the past and she is great! They have multiple locations in the metroplex. They are pediatric only Physical, Speech & Occupational Therapy. My 3.5 year attend in Coppell. He had a brain injury in 02/2006 and was unable to even hold his head up or sit up for a while. They have been great. He is now up and running. You should be able to call Baylor Medical Center main phone number and they can connect you. OR the coppell number is ###-###-####. They will be able to tell you where each location is and how to contact them.

Hey I don't know if you are a member of Dallas Area Moms or not but you could definitely get the answer to your question there. There are people who will come out to your home and do a free evaluation, I don't know what they are called I think ECI or something like that, but I have heard them mentioned on Dallas Area Moms several times.
