Looking for New RE

Hi Moms,

My husband and I have been trying to conceive our second child for a few months now, with no luck. Our daughter was conceived on one round of 50 mg Clomid two years ago, and we're working with the same doctor this time. Fortunately, last time, our infertility journey was short, so we didn't interact with the doctor much. This time, I am finding that her style is very gruff and unsympathetic when we're going through a difficult and emotional time. In addition, we rarely get to talk to her, most questions are addressed by a nurse who is not particularly knowledgable.

I'm wondering whether anyone has a RE that they've been really happy (and had success) with that they could recommend? Many thanks.

What can I do next?

Hi,
we (successfully ) used the Fertility Center of New England, we saw Dr. Hardy and he was LOVELY!! Lots of questions were answered by nurses, but they were terrific. We went to their offices in Reading, but they are also in Dedham and several other places. Good Luck - it took us a long time to conceive a healthy baby I could carry to term, but we did with the help of Dr. Hardy. It was a long and miserable journey, but we did have success with Dr. Hardy, and our daughter will be 2 in May and we couldn't be happier. Good Luck to you! E.

After several years of trying, we were about to start IVF when I managed to fall pregnant naturally. It turned out to be eptopic and wasn't discovered by the THREE hospital ERs that we visited over 5 days, when I was in excrutiating pain!! I wouldn't recommend Somerville or Cambridge hospital to anyone - totally useless. Boston IVF (Dr David Ryley) spotted it immediately and he performed emergency surgery within 2 hours of visiting his clinic.

After several months recovery, we conceived our first daughter on Clomid, using 50mg, during our third cycle.

Dr Ryley is awesome. Would recommend him in a heartbeat. They have several clinics, one in Brookline where Dr Ryley is situated and one in Waltham. It may be a drive for you, but I highly recommend him and his staff. His assistant Amanda was great and his nurses were wonderful also. We always got to see him as well as his nurses. He has a laid-back style, easy to get along with, ask any questions you need, he even managed to make us laugh when times were tough.

Hope this helps.

hi L.,
i highly recommend Dr.Oskowitz at Boston IVF in Brookline. He is very honest and nice and aggressive. The nurses that work with him are very nice and reachable. I was in a similar situation like you where i got pregnant with 1 round of meds for my 1st child and then my second took longer, and i ended up switching to Dr. Oskowitz and he was great. and now i'm pregnant with twins, ha! but he was very honest and on our 1st mtg said that i could end up with twins.

Hi
We had the same situation used clomid for our first and after three rounds of IUI with gonal F shots we had twins! We went to Boston IVF in Waltham and saw Dr. Bayer. I loved him but we really only dealt with the nurse until we started a new drug or process or got pregnant. I can't recommend him enough. FYI after the twins we had a single all on our own!
