Looking for New Pediatrician near Lockport

Hi- I live in Lockport & we go to Dr. John Giroux. He is out of the Silver Cross Building on 143rd & Bell Road. They are building a new facility in the parking lot, so soon it will be a new office, but same location. we've been seeing him for @ 1 1/2 now, and like him a lot. I have 2 kids, ages 5 & 2, and have always found the staff to be friendly, helpful & they always get you in for sick visits. Dr. John remembers my kids when we go in & is very personable. I go to Ken Porter, MD in Lemont. I like him, he's very straight forward and jumps on things if they look like they are a problem. He puts the kids first though, so can sometimes be a little rough on the parents if you did something dumb. I am a PT and worked in the area and treated his patients before my kids were born and respected him then. He is also a board certified pediatrician, and not all the doctors who practice peds are, so you'll want to look for that no matter who you go with. His # is ###-###-####. He's on 127th St. about a block east of State. Hope that helps and welcome to the area.

I used to live in Homer Glen....Born and raised. I know of a great place that my sister took all her kids (4 of them) and my friend took her child to. I haven't been out that way in awhile so I forget the name (sorry) but, it's on 143rd and Bell Rd. Right behind the Harris bank it's actually in the middle of Harris Bank and the Funeral Home. I know this response is late, but thought I would add my two cents :o) We live in Lockport, but travel to Dr. Brian DuMais in Orland Park (about 151st and Ravinia). He has been great. He is younger, but did his residency at Christ and has been very accessible to us so far. We have a 7 mo. old and he has gotten us in on a day's notice and calls back when paged almost immediately. He will do an interview with you for free. He is affiliated with Advocate Christ and Palos hospitals. Good luck.

Sorry, I'm not sure b/c I take my son to a doctor in Worth. He was actually my doctor when I was a baby!

Dr. Faith Myers, D.O. is in Lemont off of 127th and she is amazing and truly wants the best for anyones child. She is also very good about returning calls in emergencies...which as a mommy we all know how valuable that is!
