My DH & I are looking for a great GP in Northern Bergen County. We love our kids ped, dentist, ENT, and my OB/GYN. But we have never found a great GP in the area. Thankfully we are very healthy and have a medi clinic in town for the few emergency illnesses we have had. It would just be nice to have a 'real' doctor that we can settle in with and I thought this group of gals would be a great place to start.

I would also give Bergen Gastro a try. They are a wonderful office and are very accomodating. The doctors on staff spend the time with you. I don't know the number off hand but they have 3 offices now. The most recent being in Park Ridge. Even though they are called Bergen Gastronology they have regular doctors on staff as well along with the gastro doctors.
I used to work for a practice called Bergen Gastroenterology. They have both General Practitioners and Gastro's there. I'm a nurse and while I was working there I worked mainly for Dr. Allen Griggs. It has been 2 1/2 yrs since I've left the job and I still continue to see him because he is a fantastic doctor and a great guy. He spends alot of time with you, answers all your questions, explores every possible avenue of a problem you present to him. I had countless patients of his tell me while I was working there that he had saved their lives. Finding things that other doctors had missed. They have offices in Emerson, NJ on Old Hook Rd., Ridgewood, NJ on 17S and Park Ridge, NJ on Grand Ave. The emerson office # is ###-###-####. Good Luck!
I love my GP, he is out of Ramsey. The name of the group is Valley Diagnostics. They are on Franklin Turnpike. Phone # is ###-###-####. I see Dr. Richard Lucanie. There are 3 other doctors in the practice. My husband see Dr. Nickles. The others doctors are both woman. One is Dr. Annabel Lucanie, wife of Richard Lucanie and I am not sure of the other doctors name. They are great. I have been going to them for about 9 or so years.
I love my GP. Her name is AnneMarie Valinoti and she's with Prospect Medical Group in Midland Park. It's a big practice and I've seen other docs in an emergency, but she's my primary GP (i.e I schedule my annual check ups with her)and I like her the best. Good luck!!
