I am a SAHM looking for a good preschool for my 4 year old son. He is excited about going but I don't have the faintest idea where to begin. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a daughter who will be 3 in July, and I recently signed her up for the program at Salem Lutheran. They also have a 4 year old class. I don't have any first hand experience there yet, except that my 2 visits were very positive, but this preschool comes highly recommended from 2 moms in my moms' group. My best advice would be to ask around as much as possible and then visit the ones you hear about the most (I also visited Woodland Baptist and Northminster Presbyterian). There's a new A+ Academy close to us on Big Hollow that might be interesting to look into. I don't know any of their history, though.
Good luck, and just hunt til you find something that feels comfortable!
Hello M.. There is a great daycare/preschool place in North Peoria that uses Montessori-type methods. Our son and nephew are there and love it. It is called Everyday Discoveries off of Allen Road. They have a website, check it out! Good luck!
Yes, i MUST recommend Everyday Discoveries because my Mother in Law and Aunt are the owners!! :-) Its a wonderful facility with a great staff!!
Otherwise, St.Philomena's off of University and Sheridan is a WONDERFUL school. I have a bunch of friends children that go there as well as a good friend who teaches there.
Good Luck!!
