Dr. Christina Sebestyen at North Austin Medical Center. I was extremely happy with my whole birthing experience and my doula informed me that she did perform VBAC when alot of doctors would not. Hope this helps.
I just found out I'm pregnant with baby #2. My son was born by c-section and I want to attempt a VBAC with this pregnancy. I don't have an OB/GYN in Austin (my son was born in North Carolina and we just moved to Austin a few months ago.) Looking for a medical doctor who's experienced with VBACs.

Hi there! I too had a C-Section for the first and was able to have a successful VBAC with Dr. Martha Schmitz. She is wonderful and totally crunchy granola! Here is her contact info! Good luck and I hope you have a successful VBAC as well!

K.,
Try Dr. Christina Sebestyn of OB/GYN North. She works out of North Austin Hospital and is very supportive of natural child births, vbacs and the like. She has the only Midwife
supportive practice in Austin. Good Luck.

I dont have a dr or ob recommendation for you but wanted to say that I wish you luck! I had a c-section with my son after 55 hrs. of labor and then had a successful VBAC with my daughter but was still in labor for quite a long time the second time (27 hrs.) I was in NYC where there are great mid wives who deliver in hospitals. I was with an ob the first time and a midwife the second time and prefered the midwife approach. Dont let them scare you of discourage you! Good luck.
I went to doctor Cindy Mingea. She was supportive of my decision to have a VBAC, but I ended up scheduling a cesarean after being a week late. The max she would have let me go was 10 days late. I think it also depends on the reaons you had a cesarean to begin with. You could talk to her though. ###-###-####. She works with St.David's Medical Center (32nd St.)
Dr. Stephanie Reich of Women's Partners and Health. She has delivered all 4 of my babies and my first was an emergency c-section and the rest have been v-bac. Great doctor and located in Northwest Austin.
I had a c-section with my son and was very set on a VBAC with my daughter. I went to the Austin Area Birth Center (Northwest Austin). The midwives are great. Ultimately though, my labor went very quickly at home (I live south of Austin, in Kyle) and I didn't make it to the birth center. I went to St. David's Hospital (in an ambulance) on 32nd St. The doctor who delivered our daughter was wonderful. In fact, he's now my OB. Here's his information:
