Try Parenting Playgroups. We don't go to preschool there (not old enough yet) but have done other things there--parenting workshops, parent/child play and lecture, and open play. LOVED IT! www.parentingplaygroups.com
I would appreciate any recommendations for a school that you love.

Try Columbia Baptist. We really like it. (You don't have to be affiliated with that church or religion to attend). http://www.columbiabaptist.org/pages/page.asp?page_id=69135

St. Luke's United Methodist Church Preschool
7628 Leesburg Pike (one mile east of Tysons Corner Mall on Rt. 7 and directly across the street from Marshall High)
preschool phone is ###-###-####, the director is Sherry Hughes and the secretary is Jane Hill
Full disclosure, D. -- we go to the church that runs it though our daughter didn't go to preschool here (because we wanted one closer to our home, which isn't near the church). The preschool is very international and has kids from families with lots of different national backgrounds which I think is great. I believe the director also does continuing training for teachers, which would be a positive too. Check it out if the location works for you. Good luck.
We send our 2.5 year old son to Etz Hayim Preschool in Arlington, off of Route 50. I know you asked about falls church locations, but several students i know actually commute from FC, so i know the drive can't be that bad. this school has several options for kids their age...a younger 2s class (meets 2 days a week), an older 2s class (meets 2 or 3 days a week, a 3 year old class that meets 3 days a week, etc. You have flexability on which days you'd like to out your child in, and the program runs 9:30am-12:30pm. there's early drops off starting at 8am and the option for after school lunch bunch and/or other programs (cooking, karate, yoga, dance, etc), so you can put him in for almost a full day if you need the time.
We looked at many preschools in the area and were REALLY impressed by the teachers, staff, director Janice Kimmelman and overall love that the kids receive. the ratio is high (we have 3 teachers with 8 kids in our class.) I'd be happy to tell you more about it, just email me. Two very big thumbs up!
We live in Falls Church and my kids go to Fun & Friends on Great Falls Street. I guess technically it is in McLean. We are very happy with it.
