I'm looking for a playgroup for my daughter who just turned 1. I'm a teacher, so I now have the summer to be a stay-at-home dad! Does anyone have or know of any playgroups in the Newark/Fremont/Union City, CA area?

There is a playgroup called totally toddlers. you can find them on meetup.com. you can also find other groups on there too. I myself is in that group and love it. As for parks, we normally go to the Newark Community park off of Cedar.
It is awesome to see dad's on here! You could Google it but also if your daughter goes to a pre-school or Day Care get the names of some of the moms/dads that you like and you can just meet at the park or something.

Like Cindy, I also wanted to mention the FUNMothers Club. My husband was one of the first dads to join with our son many years ago. It was a great experience for our son and for our entire family.

Years ago, there used to be a Dad's playgroup within the FUN Mother's club. Perhaps you can ask about that. I believe the website is www.FUNMOTHERSCLUB.ORG
They used to meet on the first tuesday of every month at the Newark Community Center. By the way, FUN stands for Fremont, Union City, Newark.
