Hello,
Was hoping to get some suggestions on a great, overall body workout DVD that you have found effective. My problem is that I get bored very easily, so would like something that would hold my interest so that I don't stop half-way through!
Thanks so much!

I like the Firm Transfirmation system with the pink weights. That came out in 2007. There is a new one called the Wave and I have that one too, but I still like the other system better. I also like Denise Austin for the days I want to take it easy, she is easy to follow and she has a lot of work outs where you can choose segments, like abs, arms, etc.

Hi L.:

Like you, I also get bored. But I have to say, that I have been using THE FIRM cardioweight system for a month and I love it. The kit comes with 4 dvds and weights, workout calendar, etc. I have lost nearly 7lbs and 5ins off my waistline (of course, you have to eat right). The hi-sculpt dvd is my favorite. The Firm workout dvds caters to women. I purchased mine off QVC - but Target stores have them. You can visit their website at www.FIRMdirect.com
I hope this helps.
Also, Hip Hop Abs dvds are good.

Check out "Gym in a Box" it is a variety of smaller workouts put together in a weekly schedule. There are several schedules to choose from based on how often you want to work out and how much time you have during the week. There is a variety everyday, cardio, pilates, yoga, etc., they even schedule a day of rest. Of course, you don't have to go by the schedule and can go to any of the workouts directly if you choose.

I read that the woman who trains Madonna and Gweneth has a great post-baby DVD out that works all the small muscles and you don't get bored! I can't think of her name right now, but am sure you could find it.

Ah! Found it Tracy Anderson.

Hi L.,
I get a catalog in the mail and have ordered from them a few times. Go to COLLAGEVIDEO.COM. You can preview some of the videos on-line. They have a great variety. What I like is it tells you the impact (higher, mixed, etc.), the level, choreography (basic, moderate, etc) and the toning emphasis. I hope you find something to meet your needs. Good Luck.

I don't have a particular workout to recommend, but I do recommend Netflix. If you have a subscription, you can "check out" a lot of different workout DVDs and then decide which ones you like before you purchase them through another avenue (like Amazon.com). Have fun! db

I'm on the same boat you are on. Just had a baby 4 months ago and all of a sudden I stopped dropping the weight a couple of months ago. I can't get to the gym during the week and the weekends are usually filled with errands so I decided to go for a workout dvd. I never thought I'd have to go that route but I have to get a workout in somehow! I jusy bought Mel B (Scary Spice from Spice Girls & Dancing With The Stars) workout video called MEL B TOTALLY FIT! I've used it for about a week and it's a tough workout. I never really knew Mel B was in such great shape. She also gives you some nutrition advice and how to cook a healthy meal. So far I love the video. She's been promoting it a lot on tv lately that's how I found out about it and read great reviews. You can go to youtube.com and see glimpses of her workout. She fun too! Hope this helps!! Good Luck!

I request them from the library, search online and you have access to many libraries. That way you always have a new one and don't get bored. I do like Denise Austin & Jenette Jenkins. There are also shows on lifetime that you can record.

That is funny. Okay so try energy spray by Lifewave. It is homeopathic and you will have soooo much energy you wont want to stop in the middle of your workout.
Lifewave.com/kherihealth I don't know if you aare trying to lose wieght, but if you are they have a weightloss spray and patches that work extremely well. It is called SP6 and I lost 6 pounds my first week. P90X is a great DVD workout.

As a former soldier, I have done every type of workout you can think of, lol. the best work out DVD out there is Gillian Michaels 30 day shred. It has three different levels so you won't get bored and it will challenge you. Trust me, you will love this workout.
