We are moving in a few weeks to the 1604/Bandera Rd. area from out of state. I am in need of a highly recommended Pediatrician. My son has severe asthma, so I would need to get someone who is very knowledgeable on this. His past doctors have been great, so my expectaions are very, very high. I do not want a Dr. that looks at my kiddos for 5 min. and sends us on our merry way. If you know of any great Doctors in the area please let me know.

Hi E., My son's pediatrician is a great one. He is not too far from where you are located. He is located in the Medical Center Area. My son has been through stomach problems, collic and severe allergies. His name is Dr. J.A. Cardenas. He is located at 2020 Babcock Suite 19 San Antonio, TX 78229 (The Rainbow Building) ###-###-####. He has always answered any questions I have had and always gave me paperwork to take home that has all the instructions as well. I am very comfortable with him and I think you will be also...His partners are also very very good pediatricians. I had the pleasure of meeting one of them while I was in the hospital with my son. I currently take my baby to San Antonio Pediatric Associates off of Medical Drive and my sister uses their Stone Oak office. They are wonderful with children and their doctors are great. Hope this will help in your search. Good Luck and safe traveling!
Dr Rebecca Rocha-Davis is the best ever!!! We moved from out of town and was referred to her by our pedi in Dallas. We love her!! Our daughter was a preemie (30 wks) and has asthma as well. She is aggressive and knowledgeable. We've already started on the preventative as of sept 1st.

Diane Mc Maines is not right in the area but she is the only pediatrician I would trust. I've ben with her for 13 years and all 5 of my kids see her. My 13 and 4yr both has asthma and she works well with both of them. Her phone number is ###-###-####. The pulmonologist I would recommend is Dr. Martha Morse. Her number is ###-###-#### (I'm pretty sure at least). She is wonderful and was the only one to help figure out the cause of my daughter's asthma and help control it.

We live in the Stone Oak area so I don't know any pediatricians in your area. I can however, recommend a pediatric pulmonologist, Dr. Lee Kirchner. He has been seeing my grandson since he was born, prematurely. His office is in the Methodist Plaza building in the Medical Center area.
