My husband and I have decided to buy a Britax Marathon Carseat for our daughter. I know the regular price is usually $269, so I'm trying to save any $$ I can. I've been able to find the 2006 edition for around $225 total (albeebaby.com) and (E-bay), but that's about the best deal I've been able to find. Do you know of any better deals out there on the Britax Marathon or is anyone trying to sell one?? I'd prefer to buy one brand new, but if you have one that is in very good/excellent condition, I'd be willing to check it out. I'd like to be able to keep it for my second child in the future too. check out babyage.com free shipping usually and no tax. I got mine for $214. there is also babycatalog.com same deal. I would stay away from ebay because it voids the warranty according to the britax site. good luck. F.

I ordered mine from babyuniverse.com last month. They offered free shipping and there wasn't any sales tax. Britax had a sale, and I believe that I only paid 216.00.

How big is your child? If you don't need a forward facing seat I would recommend getting the Britax Regent. We have 2 and got both of them from babyuniverse. This seat can be used up to 80 pounds whereas the Marathon is only 65 pounds. Just a suggestion. Also, please DO NOT buy a used carseat. You never know if it has been in an accident or what has happened with it. Carseats are far too important to skimp on.

When I bought mine I googled Britax Carseats and checked out the different sites that came up and look on ebay too. If you have some time you can wait for some one to put them on sale. I started about 6 months ahead of time and ended up finding the one I wanted for $200 brand new, on sale (around April) and got free shipping too. You just need to look around on the internet and be patient.
