I am soon to be a new mommy (October 29th) and am looking for a good pediatrician in my area. We live on the border of Tempe/Mesa near Baseline and Alma School. I was hoping to find someone pretty close. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks all you mommas!

I agree with Brandi- I love Dr. Winterland with Mesa Pediatrics. Another good one there is Dr. Solsrud- actually I have not had a bad experience with them. They are right at McClintock and Guadalupe. I live in the Baseline/Alma School area too, and love how conveniently close they are. And with the hospital right there- I have never had to worry about anything. Good luck!
We go to Pueblo Peds at Country Club/Baseline (they also have an office closer to us now).... we love Dr. Medhi Salek...
I am not thrilled with some of the office staff, and we have seen some of the other docs, but I really only prefer Dr. Salek... that's why I keep going back. He's great!
It's not super close to you...but I use Gilbert Pediatrics and I love them. They're off of Greenfield and Baseline. There are several Dr's so getting an appt is never a problem and they also have twilight hours. Good luck!
I have been taking my kids to Pueblo Peds at Country Club and Baseline since my daughter was born over 11 years ago and LOVE them. I have been through 3 pediatricians and my son is only 19 months. But I love the one we currently have Dr Sleder. he works out of the Childrens Center Near the Banner Desert Hospital. My girlfriend also goes there and she sees Dr Lifermand and she also really likes him. The doctors take the time to listen to what you have to say so you never feel rushed. The staff is super nice and accomadating. I have another girlfriend who goes there and her baby was hopsitalized and she felt the Dr's did a great job the whole time he was in there. I know they have a website I just don't have it off hand. We are moving to Prescott Valley and I am VERY sad to be leaving the office.
C.- We use Pueblo Pediatrics at Country Club and Baseline. They have 3 great doctors in the practice and awesome staff. Their office has separate waiting areas for sick and for well children. Try them out. Definitely get your pediatrician lined up for the delivery so he/she can see them while at the hospital. The number for the office is ###-###-####. Kacey said it first Love Dr. Winterland: I just had my son in May and we use Dr. Winterland at Mesa Pediatrics. She is located at McClintock and Guadalupe in Tempe. We go to Mesa Pediatrics, which has their main office at the northeast corner of McClintock and Elliot. They have other offices as well. (The same doctors rotate throughout the offices.) My daughter's doctor there is Albert Schwartz, who is excellent. There are also other good doctors there.
Dr. Glen Garner is in Mesa. He is really good.

I can't recommended Desert Shores Pediatrics enough. I LOVE them! Dr. Mohler is my favorite, but they are great to the kids and spend plenty of time with you to answer all of your questions. The office staff is extremely friendly as well. Currently they are on Higley and Chandler Heights, but they are opening a new office on Alma School I think in the next month or 2. I absolutely love our pediatrician, Dr. David Ciminello. He is with Pueblo Pediatrics. They have an office on Arizona/Baseline. Check out their website at www.pueblopeds.com We've also taken our son to see Dr.Chiles at Pueblo Peds and we loved him as well. The office staff and nurses are very friendly. Hi C.. Congratulations on your little Easton. I hear you about being scared to death, but also excited. Those were my thoughts as well. I have an 8 month old little girl, and her doctor is Dr. Hunn. He is located at 650 W. Southern Ave, Suite 1, Mesa 85210 (on Southern just east of Extension). His phone number is ###-###-####. If you would like, he will accept an "interview" so you have a chance to meet him and ask him questions. He's an older gentleman, and a little old fashion in the way he practices, but I like that I can always get an appointment, even at the last minute, that I never feel rushed during an appointment, and I always know I'm going to see him. Dr. Diane Matsumoto is the best pediatrician there is however she is not in Mesa/Tempe. She is on 40th street and Pecos in Awahtukee. She is right off the 202 so she is easy to get to. It doesn't matter where we move, I would never stop taking my kids to her. Best of luck. ###-###-####.
I did a bit of interviewing when we moved here last fall and have really liked East Valley Children's Center. http://www.evcc.net. We went with Dr. Leifermann who is very kind and is willing to talk to us as long as needed during the appointment. Very approachable. The other doctors are good too and you can speak with their main gal to find out which one will work best with your personality and interests. Good luck.
I use East VAlley Children's Center, Behind Manuels on the NE corner of Price and Southern. The doctors are considerate; we use Dr, Aaron as our main pediatrician, and also Nurse Practitioner Jan -- who is really thoughtful and knowledgeable. They are very willing to listen to your concerns as a parent.

I absolutely love our pediatrician his name is Dr. David Curran and practices out of East Valley Children's Center located at Southern and the 101. I have two boys 4 and 7 and one more boy due on October 27th. Dr. Curran is great with the boys and he really knows his stuff. They love going to see him because he makes them laugh.
You will love being a mom! Children are such a wonderful blessing. They enrich your lives beyond belief. Especially boys, they are such momma's boys. Take Care!
