My husband has had a hard time finding a neurologist (or other MD) who can really help him with migraines. The standard treatment seems to be addictive medications, which he wants to avoid. Anyone have any recommedations?
Thanks,
S.

I also have trouble with migraines. My neurologist is Dr Susan Epner. She is in the medical center and she has been very proactive in finding medicaitons to help. I highly recommend her. Good luck!
Dr. Ann Bass has seen my Mom for ten years. She is the best at ###-###-####.
My youngest sn has a seizure disorder and I tottally understand how you feel about meds. He was first placed on Keppra Sol which caused screaming that was HORRIABLE. Then Topamax which seem to make him hypper and thats were we are right now. Ryan takes a very small dose everyday, some days are better than others. We also give Ryan clodine for sleep, this was a heart med but was found to make users sleepie. This was proscribed for Ryan ...again it is not perfect. However the alt is worse as he will be attending school next year (PPCD for speach delay). The school informed me they would not take him if he did not have the seizurs under control....
My husband and I have decided for now, to keep Ryan on meds with the possablity down the road to try again with out.
We live in the San Antonio are and see Dr Joshua Rotenberg. He is a wonderful doctor, along with being a nero doc also is a sleep specialist.
if you would like the number email me
and I will be more than happy to give that
