Hi moms,
So I am in my 40's and just hating the look of my hands lately. Dry, getting creapy, and some brown spots. Any good treatments for aging hands? I am thinking of laser treatment at the derm for my hands, but looking to try a cheaper route if possible.
Thanks.

I have a friend who is an estetician, she uses coconut oil all over her body and hands; she has beautiful skin. It is cheap and will last a long time! Or do what the french use...olive oil. Coconut smells better though.
Good Luck!

No advice on the spots, but for good moisturization, grease up with Vaseline and wear some gloves to bed at night. It helps tremendously with the dryness.

I don't know about the brown spots, but last winter I bought Walmart brand intensive therapy lotion. It comes in a pump and was right next to the Aveeno lotion. This stuff is fantastic. In about a week or so, my hands were not as dry. They were cracked and super dry at the knuckles. The lotion is really thick. I think it is $6 for a large pump. We just finished it this past week and I use it every day. I had also tried Renew by Melaleuca but switched back to the Walmart stuff when it didn't really do much.
There is a cream called Celulite Body, its a product from ARDYSS INTERNATIONAL, I works for alot of adults. The reason why your hands are like that because there are fatty tissues that cant uptain moisture for a long period of time. Which are causing your skin to do what you are experiencing. Sometimes you dont moisturize your body enough, that it will try to find it elsewhere and in your case, its your hands. I have a home daycare, so I wash my hands about 100x a day!
My hands were very dry and had cracks in them until I started using Gold Bond Ultimate Hand Lotion. I use the softening formula with the shea butter in it. It has made a big difference. I apply it several times a day and before bed. It really helped. My hands are softer and no more cracks. A big bottle with a pump is about $8.00. I keep it in both bathrooms and in the kitchen.
Don't know what would help brown spots, though. Hope this helps.
