We too are looking for a better family doctor (we have been going to Dr Matthew Duke - we liked him but are NOT satisfied with the care he gives to us or others we know that also go to him. So I recommend against Dr Duke, sorry.)
However a friend of mine has a tough cowboy husband who was not feeling too well and come to find out, he had leukemia. She raved over the clinic that's in Phoenix - they're the ones who found out what was wrong with her husband and treated him terrific (he's in remission now). I'll have to ask her again what the name was but it's a ways in Phoenix though. (that's the downside) They do not make appts in advance, which works GREAT for unpredictable work schedule and for those "I dont feel good, I need to see the dr today or tomorrow, not next week" situations as all their appts are made on a today/tomorrow basis, not in advance.
It's a group of doctors & interns - so they/you have access to current stuff, they're pretty thorough and dont rely on what they learned 'way back when' when they were in med school but on each other and their teachers & supervising doctors, so when you see one dr, you're actually getting the benefit of a large pool of knowledge.
Send me a msg if you want their phone number & clinic name. She was really happy with them and did not mind the drive into Phoenix from Buckeye, so if that works for you, let me know.
