Great dentist!! He specializes in pediatric dentistry. He is near Clear Lake Regional Hospital.
Looking for a good dentist for my children. Our dental insurance uses the Dental Groups, like Monarch and Castle Dental, etc. If anyone knows of a good dentist that is patient and sensitive to the needs of young people, who are frightened about going to the dentist, I would greatly appreciate the referral. I'm looking for someone perferrably in the Clear Lake, Webster, League City or Nassau Bay area.
Thanks for all of the responses. I will look up all of the dentists that have been recommened and exclude those that I was warned about. I appreciate everyones quick responses to my request. Thanks a bunch!

Great dentist!! He specializes in pediatric dentistry. He is near Clear Lake Regional Hospital.
My family has been using Dr.David Gordon on Bay ARea Blvd. for a long time. He and his staff are great and my kids don't mind going to the Dentist at all. HIs office is next door to the Sonic Drive in.(Over by Petco)
This dentist is not exactly in the bay area but they are WONDERFUL. I live in Alvin and drive to Baytown for them. Their names are Drs. Traylor and Trippie. They are in Baytown on Garth Rd. I have been taking my kids there for over 20 years. We are still adopting small children and they will go there also. They are the best I have ever seen. HTH
I live in LaPorte and used to work at a dentist office in the Bay Area. The one I worked for is older now but I have to aggree that Dr. Gordon is good. In Pasadena Dr. Laughlin is wonderful! He is great with kids and adults. Good Luck finding a dentist.
Not sure if this is a little too north for you - we live in Pearland but drive to Fuqua for Douglas Escue, DDS. He's FANTASTIC! His office staff is wonderful, patient, and well suited to pedi patients (they only see kids). His phone is ###-###-####. The waiting office is great - a replica boat to climb on and play on with a giant fish tank keeps the kids entertained, and there's a separate waiting area off to the side with a TV. They have a tooth fairy hotline even! I believe the office itself is actually on Featherwood, but it's really right by Fuqua, on the inbound (north) side of 45. 0h- I've discovered as far as dental, they consider pediatric dentists to be specialists, yet none of the regular offices I called would see patients under 10 - putting us between a rock and a hard place since they all say the kids need to be seen starting at 2!! So my insurance pays a % for the kids to go to Dr. Escue, but it's not covered the way it would be (should be) as a regualr dentist vs specialist.
DO NOT go to the Castle in Webster. They are HORRIBLE!!! I am currently having a procedure done that they botched a few years back. I also have a good friend that went to that same location and had troubles with billing that took YEARS to resolve. I did not heed my friends warning and now am paying the piper for it!!!

This was a good question for me, as well, because there are not many pediatric dentists on my insurance plan. I just changed my son's care from Dr. Grilli to Dr. Helmle. Both are great; however, Dr. Grilli requires all payment upfront. The office is very strict about that. I prefer billing to go through my insurance company and then pay the remainder AFTER the claim has been filed. Dr. Grilli's office makes an estimate based on what they think your insurance will pay and then you pay them before you leave. They will then keep a credit if your insurance pays more than they estimated. BUT, last time this happened, the office never even told me I had a credit. I left Grilli to find a dentist in my network to try and keep dental costs down. Dr. Helmle was the only "non-Monarch or non-Castle provider on my network." I drove from League City to LaPorte and was quite suprised/happy with the care my son received there. Good Luck!
I grew up seeing Dr Kleine (sp?) in League City on 518. My brother in law, who is terrified of going to the dentist but needed lots of dental work, went to him recently. My sister and BIL and I all love him- he's really great. It's too bad my insurance is so darn picky, they don't pay for him but I'd make the fourty minute drive to a good dentist.
Good luck!
I have to agree with a prior poster. Dr. Daniel Grilli is THE BEST. His office is really geared towards kids. My daughter had cavities at 18 months and I went to several dentists before deciding to let Dr. Grilli treat her. She even pretends to be Dr. Grilli when we come back from appointments. His office is called Dentistry for Children & Adults in Webster.
Dr. Daniel Grilli is fabulous. You won't be disappointed.
I drive to La Porte to see Dr. Richard Helmle (right behind San Jac central). They are great with kids! My 3.5 yr old son, Adam, has very soft enamel and therefore dental issues so we've been there quite a bit!
If your insurance doesn't cover them you can check out www.SplendidTeeth.com and see about getting the Dental Plus plan as Dr. Helme is an Ameriplan provider and you will then get a 25% discount (because he's a pediatric dentist=specialist) on all services there!
